The Matangi Group was founded by Shri Pradip Gupta in 1985 and has grown steadily to be one of the largest OEM suppliers of flaps and tubes in India.
The Company is now ably managed by the second generation that has competence in engineering, finance and law with degrees from Wharton, Columbia University and Harvard Business School.

Our plants have a combined covered area of 110,000 ft2. Matangi / MGI have in-house Compound Mixing, Laboratory, Development, Testing & Manufacturing facilities. This helps in product quality and shortens product development time.
Infrastructure is available for inner tube manufacture, hydraulic presses for transfer and compression molding for flaps and other products and a modern mixing plant for outsourced compound mixing.
Machinery is from reputed manufacturers such as Farrell, Alfred Herbert, Larsen & Toubro, VMI, Indian Expeller Works and Midland Machinery Manufacturers. Current Production Capacity of the group stands at 50 MT / day across tyre flaps and inner tubes.
MGI is one of the oldest Butyl inner tube companies in India established in 1989 with its plant at Malanpur near Gwalior (M.P.). The company is an OEM supplier of tubes to JK Tyre as well as marketing tubes under its own brands – Maxstone, JRF and Toronto.
Matangi is India’s 2nd largest manufacturer of tyre flaps with plants located in Selaqui (Uttarakhand) and Gummidipoondi (Tamil Nadu).
The precursor to Matangi Rubber was set up in 1985 by our Founder-Chairman, Shri Pradip Gupta.
We are a preferred tyre flap manufacturer to tyre companies like JK Tyres & Birla Tyres among others.
